Abstract

The new method for energy determination of super-heavy (Z>30) galactic cosmic ray nuclei are presented. In the base of method lies the experimental measuring of the track angle distribution in olivine crystals from the Marjalahti pallasite. Parameters of the track angle distribution depends on the depth and orientation of the examined olivine crystal sample to the meteoroid pre-atmospheric surface and permits to reveal the orientation of the crystal etching surface towards the nearest meteoroid surface area. Finally, determination of the path-length in the meteoroid body of each nucleus are permit to estimate their energy. The method was performed in frame of OLIMPIYA project.
