Abstract

The paper introduces SimpleTEXML package developed by the Geophysical Center RAS for its publishing practices. SimpleTEXML (that can be easily adopted to other journals) belongs to the family of packages extending the basic LaTeX class (article.cls) and supporting the main elements of the semantics of articles required for generation of XML metadata descriptions compatible with the XML scheme CrossRef, ver. 4. 3. 0. The article is addressed to authors who use the LaTeX publishing system to prepare their publications.
