Abstract

Discusses the objectives, stages and contents of holding seismotectonic studies, as a certain kind of analysis of complex geological and geophysical data used to establish the tectonic nature of the manifestations of local earthquakes, individual neotectonic structures and modern geodynamic processes on the territory of Eastern Siberia. Geodynamic analysis was performed for the seismogenic zones of Arctic-Asian and South-Siberian seismic belts and also adjacent segment of the Arctic seas shelf and activated structures of the Siberian craton. In the most seismically active segments of the region studied the structural-tectonic position of the main epicentral fields and paleoseismologycal structures allocated of active faults, held magnitude segmentation of areas of dynamic influence, determined pairing types of active structures. According to the activity and focus of geodynamic processes developed by the regional classification principles of neotectonic structures with justification of the differentiation of classes, a dedicated reference objects in different tectonic settings, in the format attribute tables of geoinformation system are given their basic geological, geophysical and seismotectonic parameters. The results of the studies summarized in the map of seismotectonics of Eastern Siberia, which gives a brief description of the principles and methods of its construction, provides illustrative examples of selection of active faults, paleoseismology and neotectonic structures closely associated with the dynamics of focal zones of strong earthquakes. This approach allows you to begin a new phase of research on seismic safety, and regional geodynamic models can be used in the refinement of seismic source points existing regulatory general and detailed maps of seismic zoning.
