Meeting on Results of IPY 2007/08

Abstract
The paper gives short review of the discussions at the meeting held in Sochi (28.09–01.10.2009) and related to the Russian national programme of the Internationsl Polar Year (2007–2008). Main results of expeditions and scientific researches were discussed at the meeting, some recommendations to future research programs were agreed as well as the program of publishing of IPY scientific results. The special attention was paid to the aims and perspectives of future investigations in Arctic and Antarctic.
