Abstract
The main purpose of the V International symposium "Steppes of Northern Eurasia" was to promote discussion of the most important problems related to land use and nature management of steppes, their study and landscape and biodiversity conservation in XXI century, together with developing special recommendations, addressed to scientific institutions and public authorities of the countries participating in the symposium.
