Abstract

The neutron activation analysis (NAA) was used to analyze samples of some natural rocks and technogenic materials. The main advantages of the NAA method are its high sensitivity, reliability and selectivity, as well as the possibility to analyze simultaneously a number of elements. For the liquid samples with complex structure (organic or salt matrix, tested elements in fast complexes) the authors suggest to dispose of the water fraction by sorption on hydrogels. In this case the influence of polymeric hydrogel matrix is insignificant.
